Nun möchte er selbst im Rampenlicht stehen, hat dafür ein sphärisch-poppiges, manchmal etwas düsteres Epos eingespielt, dass die Lücke zwischen Alternative, Indie und Mainstream zu schließen versucht. Imposant allein die Reihe der Gäste (Lykke Li, Lana del Ray, Randy Newman u.a. Lead-Vocals, Florence Welche Background-Vocals, RHCP-Josh Klinghoffer Gitarre, Brian Wilson, Rufus Wainwright, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Colin Blunstone,...).
